OUR EXPECTATION
I really want our volunteer to meet the wonderful time when they work for us. So I want everyone who visits us all in their life. They meet the great experience. I really want volunteer meet the natural of Isan (North East) people and our culture.I hope everyone who teaches in a school, they will smile with their production, smile of a student, don’t fear our volunteer, and don’t run away when they talk with our volunteer. Moreover, they want to talk with you or be your friend. We don’t expect about academic but we hope our student will change their mind“Stop fear foreigner and don’t run away” I was poor students and study at the village school. I really understand how rural students are. How much gap between poor and rich students? It’s big gap in Thailand.Even you teach in our school or my friend school. I felt I am a one person who supports our community and our country. Give opportunity for some group of students that in the life never ever meet foreigners closely, talk, play or any activities with them. I am so sorry about my English not so perfect, even I talk or write but I hope, you will more understanding about my idea and expectation.

HOW TRAVEL TO UDONTHANEE
Bus or Air plan (Air Asia, Nok air, and Lion air) around 1 hour
- Take taxi from airport to bus station 150 bath
- Bus will stop at Udonthanee bus station you can get bus to Namsom District

HOW TO TRAVEL SITE WORK.
Bus or car.
Namsom District far from downtown around 110 km. 2 hours


ACCUMULATION
A private house with air condition and free wifi Food Offer only Thai food or local food (Breakfast and Lunch) not provide diner food. (Sat – Sun provide only breakfast) The school will support you to teach in school they will not leave your alone with their students.
REGULATION
1. Follow the rule of school
2. You can leave school if you have some business or travel trip ( 3 days - 5 days)
3. Discuss all problems with English teachers and help each other to improve.

WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW ?
1. Homeboon is private volunteer program in KhonKean, start up by the local person, to support my village school.
2. We try to provide the best environment and solve problems in the best way.
3. We expect volunteer will give new opportunity for rural students, they are poor and a school doesn't have a budget
for hire native speaker for a teacher.
4. We need to charge operation cost and accommodation for keeping our projects.

WHY MOVE:
1. My village is not so convinced for anyone who can’t use the motorbike. Lake of bus directly to our village.
If take the taxi directly to my village around 250 baths (500 baths round time) that too expensive.
2. Our village school doesn't have budgeting for lunch (need sponsorship from local government on process)
3. Our village school have an English teacher, she is only one can speak English when in school and she teach all class in school. If volunteer joins with our school, our teacher will don’t have much time to take care. (We find a student to intern in our school and take care our volunteer, English Teacher from KhonKean University or other universities.
4. And another hidden cost that we just know after we run a program. (We asked some budgeting to support from local government)
5. New school wants to volunteer and they believe they can take care our volunteer.
6. Fee cost and real cost do not match, so we just try to improve and find sponsorship ( we don’t want our volunteer to pay much)
But hidden cost makes us rethink and solve this problem.
7. New school is mother friend‘s school, my friend can speak English we study same major in university.
8. Open the new place to the new group student also waiting for clear budgeting plan for local government.

Qualifications of School
1) Government or private school
2) Must have English teacher more than 1
3) Ability to take care volunteers, food and homestay
4) Set up some budgeting to support volunteer program.
5) Ability to improve curriculum for volunteers


Qualification of Volunteer.
1) Age 20 years above
2) Excellent English skill
3) Friendly and kindness
4) Healthy
5) Can eat local food,Thai food.
6) Flexible and understand not the perfectly.
7) Experience in Thailand or Asia.

What our expect from volunteers ?
1) Adaptation yourself with new environment
2) Learn and understated local school systems
3) Improve curriculum for volunteer program
4) Exchange idea with host school and coordinator


What provide for volunteers ?
1) Local food and Thai food 2 meals (Breakfast and Lunch)
2) Private homestay with air condition, western toilet, and shower.
3) Volunteer coordinator who can speak English
4) Basic safe environment and convenience.

How volunteer teach in school ?
1) Orientation meeting with the English teacher to improving the curriculum.
2) Set up final schedule whole period program.
3) Improve activities for support teaching in class.
4) To be the assistant for English teacher, you will not teach alone.
5) Follow the rule of school.

PLESE DON'T EXPECT PROFESSTIONNESS FORM US.

WE ARE NOT PERFECT:
If you see all website they will promote how long that they work for the volunteer program and how they professionals to serving you.
I would like to tell you all. Our volunteer just starts only 1 years.
If you join us you will not get a professional program. But you will be a starter volunteer program to share your idea and improving the volunteer program. You will not be only a visitor but you are a starter.
If you want to be a starter I believe you will have more fun time with us volunteer program. If you want the perfect program. I suggest you join with a big volunteer program that has the experience to support you.


BE US PARTNERSHIP:
If you join the big program ! you will get perfect service. however, everything will be set up for mass. If you join us to a program, you will be like starter and partnership. You can share your idea and exchange idea with the coordinator and English teacher. It's to challenge to improving the new program that suits you.


ADD VALUE OF YOU LIFE:
North East of Thailand (Isan) is a land lake of water. The natural of ISAN don't support people can work on the farm. If compare with South, Middle and North of Thailand. The geography of this land doesn't support agriculture.
That Isan needs to move them self to work in capital or big city to earn money. To feed their family and catch up modern life. Some children
they stay with their grandparent and study at a village school. Most village schools have only poor student and low IQ. Even some students are poor if they are clever they can join in the big school in town.
The village school lake off budgeting to improving the school system.
If compare with big school in the city. They have native English teacher to teach them. But the rural school will don't have native speaker teacher. That why I would like you all to donate your time to join us program.To add up a value of your life to poor students that lake off chance to meet foreigners.


VALUABLE OF OTHER LIFE:
Many people asked some questions such as why don't learn English Thai teacher. How different ? I would tell you why I need you ?
1) Different culture: support our student learn adaptation them self.
2) Try up: If you can't speak Thai, the student will try to open the dictionary
and communicate with you.
3) Learn from professionals: Thailand is low education standard,
the student will learn how high standard from all visitor.
4) Closely with foreigners: Student doesn't have the chance to meet foreigner closely like volunteer program. They will pound to be close to you.
5) Spotlight: Student will remember the situation in their life forever.
You will still in their mind until they growing up to be an adult. If the student
will show their English skill when they meet the good environment.

WHY VOLUNTEER NEED TO PAY ?

Many people have questions why volunteer need to pay for join volunteer program. I really want to explain in truly from my experience. My dream, I want everyone who joins volunteer program to have no pay money to join us program. Honestly, I promise with my first volunteer to do free volunteer program. Everyone who want to support me, they also want to free volunteer program and cheap price.
However, after we start up the volunteer program, I really understand
we can't stand without budgeting or money, everything can be an expense. it's hidden cost that we did not know. A school needs to set up budgeting to support volunteer. Coordinator need to have backup money for unplan work. A volunteer program is working hard for the coordinator, coordinate with school, volunteer and local people and other work. It's not quite easy to handle work. The coordinator needs support volunteers, school, and students and other work.The teacher needs to prepare curriculum for volunteer and take care them. We try to set up best environment for all volunteer as much we can. however, it still has some problem that we can't fix it.
All work ! that we need to prepare to have the operation cost. Even school try to set up budgeting still not enough for the whole program.


1) Operation cost of school, school lake off budgeting to hire the native speaker. They will set up some budgeting to support volunteer. however is not enough as we did before.

2) Operation cost of coordinator: it 's hard work to create the volunteer program in Thailand. If you don't have budgeting support from local government and any organization. That will support operation cost for the coordinator to connect school and volunteer and make everything smoothly.

3) Show the real cost: People in local will don't understand that how much that people need to pay for them. How many coordinators work too hard for setting up this project and handle it. The total cost can support them to understand.

4) Increase income Help local people have earn money. Help local people that have low education, unemployment and work on the farm. and have some debt when don't have rain and can 't work on the farm.Stop local people move to big town to earn money.Everything has cost to control if we want to keep the project on we need to survive or get a sponsor. But right now we still don't have the sponsor yet. Also don't when !
I want you all to understand us situation. If you can accept all detail ! You can join us program.

5) Increase income Help local people have earn money. Help local people that have low education, unemployment and work on the farm. and have some debt when don't have rain and can 't work on the farm.Stop local people move to big town to earn money.
